Welcome to CROP.SENSe.net
Networking sensor technology R&D for crop breeding and management
Competence network for phenotyping science
CROP.SENSe.net is an innovative, interdisciplinary research network, with partners working together to non‐destructively and
quantitatively analyse and screen plant phenotype throughout plants'
lifecycles. The ultimate aim of the project is early, non‐biased and
faster assessment of traits in lab and field to enable greater efficiency in crop
breeding and to optimise decision making in crop management.
CROP.SENSe.net is led by:
- Agriculture Faculty, University of Bonn and
- Institute of Bio- and Geosciences, Forschungszentrum Jülich.
It is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) within the scope of the competitive grants program Networks of excellence in agricultural
and nutrition research (Funding code: 0315529) and from the European Union Funds for regional development (Funding code: z1011bc001a).
