1.st CROP.SENSe.net Summer School

“The Root Zone – Improving Resource Efficiency of Crops“ is a two weeks Summer School, which is related to the innovative and interdisciplinary research network Crop.sense.net. The partner institutions of CROP.SENSe.net are working together on non destructively and quantitatively analysis and screen plant phenotype throughout plants' lifecycles. The Summer School appeals to PhD-Students and early stage Post Docs in the field of Phenotyping, Resource Conservation, Biology or related fields. The number of participants is limited to 20 persons. The Summer School will provide exclusive lectures, practical exercises and will be hosted by various departments within Bonn University and Forschungszentrum Jülich. Additionally the Summer School includes a social program with field trips and excursions.

Duration: 21.05. – 30.05.2013

Arrival Day: Tuesday, 21st of May 2013 (afternoon)

Departure: Thursday, 30th of May 2013 (Noon)

Invitation and programme

The aim of the CROP.SENSe.club is the formation of a cooperation between the network and private sector partners, including in the field of plant protection and precision crop management.

The club will strengthen the position of the participating companies in the rapidly growing field of plant phenotyping through access to the latest developments in R&D.
