Research
The CROP.SENSe.net project
The interdisciplinary research project CROP.SENSe.net is networking around 3 key themes:
The network has 5 research groups:
- Barley: Architecture and stress
- Sugar Beet: Architecture and stress
- Soil & Site Characterisation
- Sensors & Methods
- Data Analysis & Management
And the Junior Research Group:
"Hyperspectral phenotyping of resistance reactions of barley"
35 subprojects are working across these 5 research groups. They are integrating sensor activities across lab, greenhouse and field, and at all scales from gene to crop.
An important part of the work is integrated field experiments in collboration with our partners at different field sites:
- Campus Klein Altendorf, University of Bonn
- University of South Westphalia, Soest
- W. von Borries-Eckendorf GmbH & Co.KG, Parchim
